1. ¿How to buy from Lakauta.com? - When you are visiting our web site you will discover different product categories. Choose the products you like and click on the ‘Buy now!’ button.
- Select the continent where you want your order to be sent and the type of shipping you prefer. Click on the ‘continue’ button if you are done shopping or else click on the ‘keep shopping’ button if you want to purchase other products.
- Then just follow the next steps until you complete your order.
- Once your order is confirmed you will receive a confirmation mail.
2. I didn’t receive a confirmation mail for my purchase. - Once you finish making your order and the order is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation mail.
- If you don’t receive a confirmation mail for your purchase it is possible that the mail went directly to your junk mail. Please check in your junk mail.
- Another possibility is that there was a problem with the server. In that case please wait one day to see if the mail arrives.
- If you waited one day and the confirmation mail still hasn’t arrived and it is definitely not in your junk mail, please write us an e-mail to contact@lakauta.com and we’ll be happy to send your confirmation mail again.
3. Is it safe to buy from Lakauta.com? - For our clients safety Lakauta.com works with a payment security system called PAYPAL. PAYPAL is a big and well known company for making payments through the internet (www.paypal.com).
- When you make a purchase from Lakauta.com all your personal information and your credit card information is directly processed by PAYPAL in their safe server.
- Lakauta.com does not have access to any confidential information such as: credit card number or expiring date.
- Your personal information is not shared with others.
- Shopping in Lakauta.com is completely safe.

5. How long will it take for my order to arrive? - For shipping Lakauta.com works with the Bolivian Post Office.
- It normally takes from 15 to 21 business days for an order to arrive to destiny.
- All the purchases that have been made during the weekend will be confirmed and prepared on Mondays.
- If your order arrives in a holiday or just before one it is possible that the package will take longer to arrive because shipping offices won’t be working normally during these days.
- If the product you purchased is not available in our stock then your order could take a few more days to arrive.
- Once your order is confirmed you will receive a confirmation mail that includes the shipping date and the approximate number of days it will take to arrive.
- If you wish your order to arrive faster you can ask for a quote for an express mail service with companies like: DHL, UPS, TNT, etc.
6. Can I trace my order through the internet? - If you asked for an express mail service such as DHL, UPS, TNT o FEDEX, you can trace the order through the internet. We will give you all the necessary information to trace the order.
- Unfortunately the Bolivian Post Office doesn’t offer this service yet.
7. It has been a month and my order still hasn’t arrived. - If your order doesn’t arrive in the estimated period of time or you have any doubts on how long it will take for your order to arrive, please contact us to contact@lakauta.com
- It is normal that some people feel frustrated if their order doesn’t arrive in the estimated period of time. However, our suggestion is that you contact us before feeling disappointed contact@lakauta.com. Our experience has taught us that a little patience and some good communication can solve any problem. We want all our clients to feel calm and confident about their purchase and to enjoy the experience. Lakauta.com works hard to keep all our clients satisfied.
- There are some countries like French Guyana, Cayman Islands, Russia and others where shipping from Bolivia take longer than to other countries.
- If your order arrives in a holiday or just before one it is possible that the package will take longer to arrive because shipping offices won’t be working normally during these days.
- If you made your order on a Friday evening or during the weekend, the order will be prepared on Monday; therefore it will take a little longer to arrive.
- If any problem, we will contact the shipping company and try to find out a solution.
8. Is there any other alternative for payment besides credit card? - Lakauta.com works with a payment security system PAYPAL to make online payments with credit cards (www.paypal.com) .
- If you don’t own a credit card or you don’t want to use it, there are other options for payment:
i. Money transfer to our bank account in Spain. ii. Money transfer through Western Union directly to Bolivia. - To give you more information about a money transfer to our bank account or through Western Union, please write us an e-mail to contact@lakauta.com
9. Who pays the rights or customs taxes? - The rights or customs taxes are paid by the buyer. When you receive your order a customs officer or post office employee will tell you about the customs cost. However, in most cases since the packages contain handcraft products in small volumes, taxes are very low or inexistent.
10. What does the price include? - The total price you paid for your order includes: products cost, handling, packaging and shipping.
11. I want to return my order. - If you received your order and changed your opinion or you are not happy with it , don’t worry you can return it but first contact us to contact@lakauta.com and explain us your problem, including the number of your order, the order description and your personal information.
- If it is not possible to solve your problem, you can send the package back in a period no longer than 3 days after you received the order. Your money will be reimbursed 30 days alter Lakauta.com receives a notification from the transport company that the package has arrived. The shipping costs will be covered by you.
- In case the product(s) you returned is/are damaged, incomplete or dirty, unfortunately we won’t be able to give your money back.
12. My order arrived with mistaken or damaged products. - Don’t worry, first contact us to contact@lakauta.com explainus your problem, including the number of order, the order description and your personal information. In some cases we might ask you to send us a picture of the mistaken or damaged product(s).
- If the mistake was ours we will solve the problem as soon as we can.
13. What characteristics do handicraft products have? - The products Lakauta.com offers are hand made products elaborated by artist artisans that most of the time work with natural materials such as: natural dyes, plant fibers, traditional looms, natural alpaca, llama and sheep fibers, etc.
- These handcraft products are like real art pieces. You can hardly find two identical products.
- Since all the production process is hand made, some colors or details may slightly differ from the pictures on the web.
14. Are there any discounts for wholesales? - YES, if you are interested in selling our products or just buying a large number of them we have attractive discounts, just contact us to contact@lakauta.com
15. Can I personalize a product? - YES, if you have a specific color or design in mind we can personalize our products. Send us a picture or specific details of what you have in mind and we will give you an answer as soon as possible contact@lakauta.com.
16. I’m planning a trip to Bolivia. Can I visit Lakauta.com and the artisans that work with Lakauta.com? - YES, if you are in Bolivia it will be our pleasure to welcome you to Lakauta.com and introduce you to the artisans and communities that work with us.
